Base Camp

A youth club for children in year 6, 7 and 8 run by Christ Church Little Heath

We are really excited to share information about our new club (restarting Mon Oct 1ast!) We will be running a fantastic programme of structured activities each week as well as spending some time exploring issues of life, purpose and faith in creative ways. All of our leaders are members of Christ Church and we aim to encourage honesty and openness throughout the program. Our Frequently Asked Questions are below, however please do contact us using the links above if you have any other questions.

Who is the club for?

Base camp is being run for children currently in year 6, 7 and 8 (aged 10-13).

How much does it cost?

Subs are just £1 for each meeting you attend.

What will we be doing?

We be running an exciting programme of structured activities especially designed for young people aged 10-13. The leaders have got many years experience between them of running fantastic activities for this age group and we know they are going to have a great time! As well as the activities below, each meeting will include some time exploring life's big questions in a variety of engaging ways. Some of the activities we have planned between now and Christmas include...

When you attend for the first time, we will give you a programme card so you know what is coming up and when.

Where and when are you meeting?

We are meeting at the Parish Hall, off Thornton Road EN6 1JJ. There is a large carpark you can use if needed. Occasionally, we may meet elsewhere, however we will give you plenty of notice if this is the case! Our meetings run from 6:30-8:00pm every Monday evening during term time.

Can I just turn up?

If possible, please do register in advance using the form above. It is possible to register on the day, however you will need to have a parent/guardian present with you. Unfortunately we are unable to admit unaccompanied children unless they have registered in advance and we have their parent/gaurdian's contact details.

Who is running it?

More information about our experienced leadership team can be found here.

What should I wear/bring?

We recommend that you wear old, comfortable clothes. Lots of our meetings are active and will involve moving around, although we will have some quieter ones as well! We don't allow mobile phones to be used during the club so please either leave them at home or hand it in when you arrive. You will need to bring £1 each week you come for subs, and some weeks we will run a tuck shop (see the programme card for when this is) so you may want to bring a bit of extra money on these occasions.
