Base Camp - Leaders

All of the adults involved in Base Camp have gone through our vetting process which includes DBS checking and the taking up of references. We also have a number of teenagers who help us out each week. All of our main leaders are qualified first aiders, and more information about us can be found below.

Cath Hawes

Cath Hawes recently joined the team as Children's Outreach Worker but has been attending Christ Church for over ten years, with her family. She has years of experience working in local primary schools and is enjoying the new challenges of this role. To relax Cath enjoys reading, listening to music, cycling with her family and going to the theatre. She is very creative and her ambition is to learn how to throw a pot and practise enough that she can do it well!. Please do come and say hello if you see her.

James Bentall

James has been involved in youth work both within Christ Church Little Heath and the local community for over twenty years. A qualified primary school teacher at a school in London, he particularly enjoys the great outdoors and is happiest when up a mountain somewhere enjoying God's amazing creation! James also enjoys playing the piano, cycling and thinks that llamas and aubergines are two of the greatest creations on the planet.
